In this photo series I was trying to work out some theme of landscapes, maquettes, compositions that suggested an expansive world beyond the frame, made with the objects, detritus and junk that always seems to accumulate in my studio. Somewhere between a sculptural practice, in the ‘unmonumental’ style of the  artists I looked up to at the time (and still look up to), but through the lens of commercial product photography, as I was learning how to shoot in a quasi-studio fashion.
